Weddings in Iconic Venues

For a few years now in the City of Buenos Aires, in addition to the “classic” locations available for civil wedding ceremonies, you can choose alternative locations, known as “Iconic Venues.”

As the name implies, these are iconic spots in the city where you can “move” your civil ceremony to give it a personal touch and do something different and original.

What is a wedding in an iconic venue like?

For legal purposes, it is of course exactly the same as holding the ceremony at a Civil Registry office or a traditional government center. What changes—in principle—is just the setting, although based on our experience, we also notice that the fact that it is held in a different environment than the classic setting makes for more relaxed and easygoing ceremonies, which is ideal for photos and video

At the time of writing this article, there are 16 iconic venues available, although you should know that this list changes dynamically depending on the schedule of each site. You can check the updated info at THIS LINK

How much does a wedding in an iconic venue cost?

Moving your civil wedding venue to an iconic location has an extra administrative cost, the final value of which depends on several factors (number of witnesses) and is frequently updated. We suggest you check the updated price on the official website at this link

Can I get married in Argentina if I am a foreigner?

Of course you can! Many couples take advantage of the fact that our country has equal marriage laws and come to Buenos Aires to tie the knot. But we have already covered that topic in another article on our website, which you can read at this link:
