Darwin Tortugas is always a great option to keep in mind if you are looking for wedding venues in the Northern Zone, and more specifically, in the Pilar area. The group of venues managed by Darwin is growing little by little but without pause, and by the time we are writing this post, Darwin Tortugas was one of the latest to join the collection.

Why choose Darwin Tortugas as your wedding venue?
We believe that one of the best things about Darwin Tortugas is its ability to adapt to weddings of all kinds. Since it is divided into 2 venues, they can be used separately or both can be used for weddings of up to 900 guests.
Another feature that makes Darwin Tortugas unique is its natural setting with a park of about 3 hectares where you can find plenty of greenery, mature trees, palm trees, and even a lagoon. Both venues have spaces to celebrate outdoor wedding ceremonies, weather permitting, but they also offer indoor spaces for a Plan B in case of rain.
Its location is also privileged, as it is one of the venues in the Pilar area closest to CABA and just a few blocks from the main access, the Panamericana Highway. This makes it super convenient to reach if most of your guests are coming from the capital city.
Finally, and no less importantly, it has 2 separate private parking lots, one for each of the 2 venues.
The 2 venues at Darwin Tortugas
Laguna Hall:
This is the smaller of the two halls. It has a total surface area of 500m2 and a height of 6 meters. It features windows on one of the walls that are 4.5 meters high and overlook the park. The reception area has a surface area of 280m2 and a height of 3 meters. It is almost entirely glazed, allowing you to enjoy the surrounding forest and a beautiful lagoon. Surrounded by a lagoon and an impressive forest, it also offers the possibility of adding outdoor spaces.
Palmeras Hall:
This hall is significantly larger. It has a total surface area of 700m2 and a ceiling height of 6 meters. One of the walls features floor-to-ceiling windows that are 4.5 meters high, overlooking the terrace. The reception area covers a total of 450m2 with a 3-meter ceiling height. It is almost entirely glass-enclosed, offering views of the park, and can be connected to the terrace, which features 6 beautiful palm trees standing over 7 meters tall.
Our Take on Darwin Tortugas
In our humble opinion, having worked there several times, we highly recommend this venue for weddings planned with an outdoor ceremony, whether they are large, medium, or intimate. The Laguna hall’s plan B might feel a bit small if the guest count exceeds 200 people (or at least that was our perception when we experienced it), but the outdoor area is truly beautiful.
Both halls also feature a room where the bride and/or groom can get ready, which greatly simplifies logistics when the ceremony is held on-site.
This venue, like the others in the Darwin group, always offers their in-house catering by Guillén Catering and the 28 Setenta bar service, both part of the same company. This often simplifies things by reducing the number of vendors to manage, although it can be limiting if you want to go off-script. That said, we highly recommend both, as they offer varied menus and are always of very high quality.
