El Dok Haras has completely shaken up the scene when it comes to event venues in Argentina.

Built and inaugurated right in the middle of the pandemic, it is a bold project that is quickly positioning itself as one of the most beautiful wedding locations in Buenos Aires (or perhaps in all of the Americas?). I bet it goes head-to-head with any venue in the world!
It has received a lot of media attention recently (January 2022) because it was the location for the highly publicized wedding of singer Ricky Montaner and Stefi Roitman. We didn’t have the pleasure of documenting that specific event, but we have captured others, which you can see below 😊
Haras el Dok – Location:
The place is located in Exaltación de la Cruz, near Pilar, in the northern area of Buenos Aires.
It is a massive equestrian estate (and I mean truly GIGANTIC!), separated into different themed pavilions, each with its own imprint, characteristics, architecture, and beauty. Everything is spread across a landscape of gardens filled with native species that act as a “unifier” for all spaces, while also providing an unparalleled backdrop for outdoor ceremonies.

El Dok Haras is divided into Pavilions:

As wedding photographers and videographers, one of the best things about this place is that it offers us an infinite variety of settings for photos, and all of them are beautiful!
This photo in particular was taken in front of the Polo Club sector. The sunset there falls over the front of the club, creating this beautiful backlight on the path lined with bushes… It’s something like the Disney World for photographers 🙂
The Indoor Arena (Picadero)
The Picadero (Indoor Arena) pavilion is in a way “the soul” of the venue. For weddings and events, it functions as the main space, covering nearly 1,000 m2 and capable of hosting up to 700 guests seated (or up to 1,000 in a cocktail setting).
Of course, since it is a venue of this caliber, it goes without saying that it is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and features ideal for every aspect of an event: giant catering facilities, power generators, Wi-Fi, cloakrooms, central climate control, etc.
We have had the great pleasure of documenting weddings at El Dok, with technical staging and decor worthy of stadium concerts :O .
Take that, Lollapalooza!

But beyond the strictly technical, the venue stands out for its original layout and aesthetics, preserving the architecture and original spirit of a real horse riding arena, with decorative and architectural details that make it unique and truly beautiful.
In front of the arena are the spaces: “Los Carruajes”, “Los Cobres”, “La Pulpería”, and “El Regional”. Surrounded by these spaces and integrating the park that connects them, it forms a large setting that generally works for the cocktail hour and reception, as you can use a mix of outdoors and indoor spaces.

The Wine Cellar of El Dok Haras
When we say there are endless places for photos, we aren’t exaggerating. El Dok also has its own underground wine cellar with more than 3,000 bottles (the closest thing to paradise we’ve ever visited! haha) and, of course, with completely controlled temperature and humidity. We didn’t have the honor of tasting the wines, but we were able to take some photos there as well 🙂

The Chapel for religious ceremonies:
As if all this weren’t enough, El Dok Haras features a small but very warm and picturesque chapel, which allows for religious ceremonies to be held right on the grounds.

Getting ready locations
Of course, and as you would expect, El Dok Haras has very comfortable (and excessively spacious!) facilities to enjoy the venue from early in the day. It even allows you to keep the tradition of not seeing each other until the ceremony, as the bride and groom can get ready in separate areas.
The Polo Club and the Guest House are the designated spots for the getting ready.

Dok Haras – How to get there:
El Dok Haras is located near Km 171.5 of Route 6. At that point, heading North, you must take a gravel road for 4 km (the road is in perfect condition, passable in any weather, and well-signposted). From Buenos Aires, it is a very direct route via Route 8.
