If you are thinking about getting married in a countryside setting or at an estate in Buenos Aires, stick around to read this post, where we share everything you need to know about weddings at Haras Santa Lucía.

This event venue in Pilar (very close to Open Door, Buenos Aires Province) was one of the first we got to know back in 2011 when we started shooting wedding photos and videos. That is why we hold it in special regard and why we always love coming back.

Characteristics of Santa Lucía – Arpilar
This venue adapts perfectly to all types of weddings, whether they are small, medium, or VERY large. The estate house that functions as the main hall is truly giant. It measures 700 m2, allowing it to accommodate weddings of up to 600 guests with great comfort. Its high ceilings keep it very cool in the summer and give it a feeling of spaciousness and class that few venues possess.
If you are thinking of having your wedding completely during the day, and you are worried (or curious!) about what will happen during the dancing, this venue has floor-to-ceiling windows that are covered completely with blackouts to darken the hall 100%, turning day into night so that the dance floor lights shine brightly as if you were partying in the middle of the night.

Back then, long ago and far away when we first visited this venue, it did not have a detail that today makes it one of the most valuable spots in the area. That is its small “and super aesthetic” open-air chapel. If you are planning a Catholic (or even secular) ceremony, the property has a small chapel nestled in the middle of a mature grove that gives it a truly beautiful natural backdrop.
The structure of the chapel is super warm, minimalist, and even quite small, as it only has space (covered) for the couple and the officiant, with all the benches for guests left outdoors, under the trees. Everything is very, very, very Pinterest 🙂
In case you want to hold a Jewish or secular ceremony outside the Catholic context provided by the chapel, there are many other space options you can take advantage of for your ceremony because the fields are truly enormous.

Advantages of getting married at Santa Lucía, Pilar
The main advantage of getting married at Santa Lucía is that you have the support and experience of the Arpilar group. If you haven’t heard of Arpilar, it is an event planning company that has several event venues (more all the time), its own catering service, and a list of vendors that will not only guarantee success but also the peace of mind of having support from minute one.
If you are looking for “all-inclusive” (or mostly inclusive) options, this is a great choice since, as we mentioned, Arpilar will assign you a wedding planner from their team who will be in charge of accompanying you through the entire planning process to make your life simpler.

Another advantage that Santa Lucía has is that it has enough space for a Plan B in case of rain, whether inside the main hall or on its huge covered gallery. This also makes it ideal for weddings at any time of the year, allowing you to accommodate both the ceremony and the reception (aside from food and dancing) in areas sheltered from the cold and rain.

Last but not least, Santa Lucía offers a spacious guest house right next to the venue where you can get ready without having to worry about finding a hotel nearby.
In case you prefer the latter option, there are several hotels and country complexes very close by that can serve you, your partner, or any guests who prefer to stay close after a night of partying and alcohol 😛

Where is Santa Lucía located and how can you contact them?

Although Santa Lucía is one of the venues furthest from Buenos Aires (CABA), the reality is that it is very easy to reach and locate since it is right on Route 6. The entire road is perfectly paved, something that is not always the case with country wedding venues. And as you can imagine, it also has a large parking lot so you don’t have to worry about where to leave your car.
Exact address of Santa Lucía: KM 170, RP6, B6708 Pilar, Buenos Aires Province
