In this post, we want to share with you the venue at the Argentine Polo Association, Alfredo Lalor Headquarters in Pilar, Province of Buenos Aires, (“AAP” for friends), with its iconic Castle and all its magic.

At the time of writing this article, we are talking about a practically brand-new venue, as its re-opening was planned just when Covid arrived to change everyone’s plans!
Argentine Polo Association, general overview:
It is an events venue that perfectly combines its modern structure and facilities with the classic Victorian-style Castle and, above all, its surroundings of nature, open fields, and fresh air; in other words, it has the best of both worlds!
AAP, Ideal for outdoor ceremonies:
The AAP Pilar headquarters features a large expanse of open air around the Castle, which makes it an excellent choice if you are planning an outdoor wedding ceremony, for example, by setting up the entire Ceremony area in front of the Castle, which “looks out” towards the main entrance:
After the ceremony, and if the weather permits, you can host the cocktail reception outdoors as well. If you like, you can have a “plan B” by installing a tent to have a mix of open-air and “semi-covered” space in case there are any threatening clouds, or if the time of year just isn’t right to take any chances 😉.
Is the AAP Castle used for events?
Of course it is! Not only is it used, but it also has IDEAL facilities so you can get ready there from early in the day. It has several very spacious and bright rooms that you can use for your getting ready, makeup, hair, etc., with the huge advantage of being in the same place as the party, avoiding the logistical stress and time involved in traveling to/from a hotel; especially if you plan to have your ceremony right there: it is a true “All-in-one” 😊
As if all that comfort weren’t enough, ON TOP OF THAT, the sunsets at the AAP are absolutely stunning (both inside and outside the castle); so, if you choose this place for your party, it would be ideal to try to organize your timing so that you can have several hours of natural light in the afternoon, and thus make the most of all the beautiful setting that this location offers.

Once the ceremony and cocktail hour are over (ideally coinciding with the sunset), it’s time to head to the PARTY! For this, the Argentine Polo Association features an indoor hall that is entirely glass-enclosed along its entire perimeter; beautifully integrated with its surroundings and nature, it’s super modern and versatile, allowing it to accommodate parties with various numbers of guests.

How to get there: From Buenos Aires, take Route 8 until km 56.5 (Signs will indicate “Estancias del Pilar”), turn left onto Calle Luis María Drago (passing under Route 8), then take Calle Rodolfo Centanino until the entrance, following the signs. The roads are paved, so you can easily arrive by car at any time of the year.
