If you’re thinking about looking to get married at a venue in Zona Norte of Buenos Aires Province, stay and read this post about weddings at Pilar Patagonia. This is a venue that opened its doors at the end of 2024, so there’s not much information out there and we want to share all the details we gathered after working there.

Features of this wedding venue
What sets this venue apart from others in the area is its architecture and natural surroundings. The main hall can be divided depending on your guest count, featuring a design that recreates Patagonian architecture for those who dream of getting married in Southern Argentina. The lush green setting, tree-lined paths, and a lagoon with bridges and docks make it ideal for couples looking for an outdoor ceremony in a dreamlike setting. This will ensure your wedding photos and videos are truly magical.

As we mentioned, this venue is incredibly adaptable for large, medium-sized, and intimate weddings alike. It can host up to 550 guests, which is usually more than enough for most couples.
The interiors, just like the exterior architecture, carry a strong Patagonian style where wood and stone take center stage, giving the space warmth alongside a very modern design. Weddings at Pilar Patagonia are like getting married in a 21st-century Llao Llao 😂

If you get married in the summer and the weather plays along, you can host the reception (or even the entire event) outdoors. The venue has plenty of space for fully outdoor weddings, while also offering covered terraces and galleries in case the temperature drops or rain forces a Plan B.
Pilar Patagonia also has ample parking for guests—something that most venues in the area offer, but is always a great plus to have.

It also features two suites so that both partners can get ready separately—a feature not all wedding venues offer. The bride’s suite (the one we had a chance to see) was quite spacious and comfortable. It had a large mirror and plenty of natural light, which makeup artists, hair stylists, and of course, photographers and videographers, deeply appreciate.
Pros and cons of getting married at Pilar Patagonia
The biggest advantage of getting married at Pilar Patagonia is, of course, its unique setting that emulates the Argentine Patagonia. Both the exterior and the interiors of this wedding venue are truly beautiful and bring immense warmth to photos and videos, which for us is a huge plus.

Another advantage is that since the venue opened in late 2024, all facilities are literally brand new and modern. You can really tell, and it sets it apart from other venues in the area that have been around for years and might not invest as much in maintenance and renovations.
As we mentioned, this venue has two suites, allowing both partners to do their getting ready on-site. This simplifies logistics immensely and reduces stress.
Moving on to the cons, what we liked least is that, because it is also part of a private neighborhood, there might be people unrelated to the wedding in the surrounding areas. This is something we noticed during the wedding we shot—while they weren’t mixing with the guests, you could see that the adjacent hall was operating as a restaurant and there was some movement. If you want absolute privacy for your wedding, you might want to ask if you can book all the spaces to avoid this.

The other downside we noticed is the location. Although Pilar Patagonia isn’t the furthest from Buenos Aires city (CABA) and Zona Norte in terms of kilometers, it is about 7 kilometers off Panamericana highway on Route 28, which can make getting there a bit tedious during rush hour. Nothing too problematic if you keep this in mind and let your guests know.

When it comes to catering, the venue offers La Estaca catering, which perfectly complements the Patagonian concept of their overall proposal. We imagine they still allow couples to hire the catering service of their choice, though we aren’t 100% sure about this. Some venues do not allow outside vendors with whom they don’t have an agreement, although those are in the minority.

The technical production is handled by Sasami. Honestly, they aren’t a company we are familiar with, and we aren’t sure if they have exclusivity at this venue, so we can’t share any specific feedback on them.
