Features of Estancia Villa María
The estate features a private hall for 100 people, located in the Main House, and the estate’s park is the ideal setting for outdoor weddings within its magical grounds of over 5 hectares. It also includes a stable that can be adapted for weddings of up to 200 guests.
Beyond these locations that are already part of the venue’s structure, in general (and from our experience), the main house is usually used for the bride and groom’s getting-ready sessions (as well as for guests who may be staying there). Depending on the number of guests, the vast park is typically used to install tents for both the dinner and the dance floor. The location and style of the tents offer the versatility to choose different themes based on the wedding style, the number of guests, and, of course, the couple’s personal taste.
The main house then serves as an accessory location and as the “backdrop” for the party (which is excellent because it is truly beautiful).
A bit of history about Estancia Villa María
The house is a Tudor-style château. The estate was designed by the renowned architect Alejandro Bustillo, commissioned by Celedonio Pereda, and it retains all its splendor nearly 100 years after it was built. It was a love story that brought this property to life, located in the town of Máximo Paz, Buenos Aires province: Pereda, a doctor to the Buenos Aires aristocracy, married María Girado, a young woman from a traditional family in Chascomús. As a gift to his wife, the man commissioned the construction of two sumptuous buildings: the Pereda Palace (currently the headquarters of the Brazilian Embassy in Buenos Aires) and Estancia Villa María, the family’s summer residence, which was officially inaugurated in 1927. In a Norman Tudor style, following the models of English country houses, it has 3 floors and a total area of 3,000 square meters.

Estancia Villa María is located in Máximo Paz, about 50km from CABA by highway. While it doesn’t stand out for being hyper-accessible, it is perfectly reachable by highway with a little help from Google Maps 🙂
This wedding venue is especially ideal if you are planning a multi-day wedding. Since Villa María is also a hotel (and a gated community), it is great if you are planning, for example, a destination wedding where most guests are traveling from elsewhere. You could, for example, organize a multi-day wedding where you have a rehearsal dinner on Friday, the ceremony and party on Saturday, and a chill pool party with a pizza party on Sunday.
